The company celebrates its new milestone with a University Tour in Ecuador this month that will offer future Public Relations practitioners insight into U.S. industry practices

LOS ANGELES – November 15, 2016 – Santa Cruz Communications (SCC), a woman and minority-owned, award-winning Hispanic public relations agency, is celebrating 15 years providing communication services at national, regional and local levels to a wide variety of industries. During that time, Santa Cruz Communications has enjoyed a lengthy and productive relationship with a loyal roster of clients that includes Spanish-language television network TELEMUNDO, non-profit national teaching corps Teach For America, one of the nation’s largest service organizations, and Latin television personality Ana Maria Polo.
“When I launched Santa Cruz Communications 15 years ago, there was one thing I had very clear, and that is that I wanted to provide a very personalized and quality service to my clients. My goal was to offer knowledge and expertise above all, and thus it was critical that our team would consist of seasoned and talented executives whose main focus was to meet our client’s objectives, rather than delegating work to junior staff,” says Claudia Santa Cruz, President of Santa Cruz Communications.
This type of service, in addition to keeping a low overhead, has allowed the agency to not only offer competitive fees, but also boast a proven track record in developing and executing successful campaigns that have earned it an excellent reputation within the U.S. Hispanic market.
This year, Santa Cruz Communications embarks on an international tour to Ecuador to offer future public relations practitioners in five universities insight into the Public Relations industry in the U.S., specifically focusing on its work for TELEMUNDO’s “Billboard Latin Music Awards.” From November 21 to 25, Claudia Santa Cruz will visit Ecuador’s financial capital, Guayaquil, as the sole speaker of @PRWeekEcuador at the Universities of Casa Grande, UCSG, TES, Ecotec, UEES and ITV. “Expertise is lost if not shared. I’m thrilled and honored to offer a special presentation to students in Ecuador, where the field of Public Relations is growing each year, and where I hope to offer a clearer vision about our profession,” added Santa Cruz.
In addition, the SCC team is also very committed to giving back to the community which it serves, and over the course of the next year, each employee has offered to volunteer 25 hours at a U.S. non-profit organization of their choice.
Besides its work with a variety of clients in the Education, Restaurant, Fashion, Sports, Editorial, and Lifestyle industries, Santa Cruz Communications has carved a niche in the entertainment industry as being one of the driving forces in not only growing media awareness and interest for Hispanic driven entertainment shows, but also contributing to the increase in overall ratings performance, as in the case of TELEMUNDO’s highly-rated prestigious awards shows including the “Billboard Latin Music Awards,” “Premios Tu Mundo” and the “Latin American Music Awards.” In 2015, SCC was recognized with the HPRA National Bravo Award for Media Event Campaign of the year for its work on the 2015 “Billboard Latin Music Awards.” Santa Cruz Communications has also worked with Discovery Channel, GLAAD Awards, USA Networks, TNA Entertainment and the Billboard Latin Music Conference, among others.
Led by Claudia Santa Cruz, the company has also been providing a space for executives to develop their potential not only professionally but also personally. From its inception in 2001, SCC has offered workplace flexibility, offering benefits such as telecommuting, extended maternity leave, summer and fall Fridays, and tuition assistance, among others that help provide a healthier work-life balance. “Talent has been the most important factor in our success. As a female executive, who is also a wife and a mother, I understand the need to provide a work/life balance environment in which my staff can deliver quality work on a timely fashion while they are still able to fulfill their personal responsibilities. Allowing my staff to be fully accountable for their work, has led to mutual respect, trust and loyalty that translates to great performance and outstanding results,” said Santa Cruz.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary, Santa Cruz Communications, Inc. offers Hispanic public relations and communication services to a variety of industries, including entertainment, education, lifestyle, beauty and fashion, among others. Its vast experience in the development and implementation of strategic campaigns, as well as its proven track record in producing and executing prestigious events, have earned it an excellent reputation in the Hispanic market. In 2015, SCC won the HPRA National Bravo Award for Media Event Campaign of the year for its work with on TELEMUNDO’s 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards, the most prestigious awards show in the Latin music world.
