The longest-running and most prestigious awards show in the Latin music world will broadcast live on TELEMUNDO Thursday, April 27 at 8pm\/7c <\/strong>from The Watsco Center at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. The event will also broadcast simultaneously on Universo, the fastest growing Spanish-language entertainment cable network in the U.S.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ricardo Arjona<\/strong> is one of the most respected Latin artists, particularly for his social conscience and his integrity in writing and performing songs. He has sold over 40 million records to date, earning his 20th entry on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart when \u201cApague La Luz y Escuche\u201d arrived at No. 3. He\u2019s had five No. 1s on the chart, and 14 have reached the top 10. He\u2019s currently preparing for the launch of his new production \u201cCirco Soledad\u201d out on April 21st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Cuban duo Gente<\/strong> de Zona<\/strong> combine reggaeton with traditional rhythms such as son and mambo. Since their debut, the group has placed eight singles on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart. Their first chart hit, as a guest artist on Enrique Iglesias\u2019 \u201cBailando\u201d broke the record for most weeks at No. 1 in the history of the chart, staying atop for 41 weeks.<\/p>\n Alejandro Fernandez<\/strong>\u00a0is one of Latin America\u2019s most prolific artists, having sold over 30 million albums worldwide. His latest album, \u201c<\/em>Rompiendo<\/em> Fronteras<\/em>,\u201d <\/em>marked the sixth time the artist tops the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. \u201c<\/em>Rompiendo<\/em> Fronteras\u201d<\/em> simultaneously tops the Latin Pop Albums chart, making this accomplishment his 10th No. 1 on the chart<\/p>\n Zion & Lennox<\/strong> is one of the most important acts in urban Latin music. The Puerto Rican duo earned its first No. 1 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums in 2016 as \u201cMotivan2\u201d debuted atop the chart in October. They spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Latin Airplay chart later in the year with \u201cTe Quiero Pa\u2019Mi\u201d alongside Don Omar. Since 2005, the group has earned 19 total Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart hits.<\/p>\n Newcomer Colombian folk pop quartet Morat<\/strong> catapulted to international fame thanks to the song \u201cMi Nuevo Vicio,\u201d a collaboration with Paulina Rubio.
